The Needhams have just returned home in the early morning hours from a wonderful cruise to Jamaica with GospelFest on the Navigator of the Seas (Royal Caribbean). Photos will be posted later so check back! We have literally a few hours to regroup, then we are off to our West Coast tour. We will be singing with Psalm 100, RSV, and others in California. This trek will take The Needhams across the country and back in 3 weeks' time. Please pray for safety and that God will bless our ministry with souls for our labor.

Also, we ask for prayer for David Needham as he undergoes his scheduled follow-up tests in regards to his battle with cancer. The physicians have said the other tests show him to be cancer free, and we pray the Lord's grace over him that this continues to be so. David has resumed select dates with The Needhams both to ours and our audiences' great delight.

Check our schedule to see when The Needhams will be in your area. Hope to see you soon!

In the early morning hours before dawn, the peaceful drive on a desolate stretch of  I-59 in rural Mississippi was suddenly disturbed with a cry of "Oh!...No!"  Diane was cruising along at 70 miles per hour when out of the medial strip jumped one of nature's most beautiful creatures. The deer ran right into the path of The Needham's Navion and a few seconds later, all travel toward home ceased. The resulting damage kept The Needham crew in Mississippi overnight and meant a complete change of transportation. Thankfully, no one was injured. After several hours, a tow truck capable of pulling both coach and trailer arrived. As is common with accidents, the remainder of the day was a fiasco of calling numerous companies, making arrangements, changing arrangements and telling the same story over and over. Still, The Needhams were blessed to be surrounded by brothers and sisters in Christ. The state trooper who responded was a believer, the tow truck company had a number of Christian symbols on their equipment, and the company doing the repairs on the Navion is also run by a family of believers. It was refreshing to learn of a company offering morning Bible study to any employee wishing to participate.

Though we may not understand the reason why things happen, God is certainly planning things for our good according to His will. As I write this, a snow storm is blustering across the area in which The Needhams are scheduled. If nothing else, the Lord made certain we had a four-wheel-drive vehicle to use for the weekend, much safer than a motor coach. We give thanks for His love and kindness to us!

The Needhams will begin the Family Christmas Tour on Thanksgiving Weekend. In the past, the entire family has joined in for a fun-filled evening of Christmas and Gospel singing. This year, with the arrival of  Dave and Corina's baby Kayliana, the family will be traveling with a lighter crew. However, expect the same kind of inspirational experience as in the past. Come join The Needhams for A Family Christmas!

The Needhams appear on the main stage at the National Quartet Convention in Louisville, Kentucky, opening the Singing News Fan Awards Ceremony and performing their original song "Behold the Lamb" for a packed house of more than 15,000 fans . As part of a newly implemented idea called "path to success" by its originators, The Needhams sang in regional and artist showcases earlier in the week. Those showcases included judges in the audience which critiqued artist performances. High scores enabled a handful of groups to come under scrutiny by a panel which ultimately awarded the opportunity to become part of the Saturday evening awards show to the Liberty Quartet and The Needhams. "This was a tremendous honor," says Dave Needham. "It's been a few years since I stood on that stage with the Dixie Melody Boys, and it was a thrill to be able to step up there and sing with my family."

Calling all Nedheads!! Song Garden has released "Give It All To Me" as the next Needham single to radio. Please call your local radio station to request this original song, written by Diane Needham Mummert. The Needhams' previous single was "Streams of Living Water",  also released with Song Garden and AMG Capitol, which peaked in the high 50's on several different national charts.

Please hold up the Needhams' extended family in prayer. Dave and Diane's grandfather, William F. Warters, has passed away. Funeral services were held on 8/31/08 in Red Creek, NY. Needham fans will recall "Thank You Lord (for a Love Like That)" on Ready To Go as a song written about Mr. Warters. Bill, as he was known, was a tremendous influence in the lives of all the Needhams. He will be remembered with love and gratitude, and missed with great sorrow. It is in these times that the Lord we sing about comforts us with His promise of eternal life in Christ Jesus and the death of sadness and pain. Bill is survived by his wife Adrienne Irene Warters, six children, seven step children, and many, many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
